Natural
Eyes
How
much do you know about how your eyes work? If you’re like
most
people, you probably don’t give the matter much thought most
of
the time. Like your car, it only becomes a concern if something goes
wrong. Simply reading through this book will give you a head start on
improving your eyesight – just knowing that it’s a
possibility and that other people have already done it, will do a lot
to open your mind up and get the process started. If you already wear
glasses or contacts, by applying the information here, you may be able
to gradually change to a weaker prescription, or do away with
corrective lenses altogether!
The
methods and applications we’re going to tell you about in
this
book are all completely natural and non-invasive – that is,
there
are no drugs or surgery involved. It doesn’t cost you
anything,
and only takes a few minutes a day of your time.
Change your way of
thinking…
If
you’re one of the 161 million people in the U.S. that wear
corrective lenses of some type (and you most likely are, since a full
90% of us will have to wear glasses at some point in our lives), you
may be shocked to hear this:
You
can take off your glasses for good and SEE…
It’s
obvious that simply going through our day-to-day lives would be much
different and more challenging in many ways without normal vision. In
many poorer parts of the world, a lack of health education along with
chronic malnutrition and poor hygienic living conditions contribute to
eye problems (among many other health problems).
In
the rich Western countries, most common eye problems are not as drastic
in their immediate consequences. They are most likely to arise from
poor eating habits caused by being in a constant hurry; poor posture
and eyestrain from sitting in front of a computer terminal all day,
often under fluorescent lights; watching too much TV and spending too
much time playing video games; and other bad habits unconsciously
learned over a period of years.
Why is the cure
so often worse than the disease?
It
has long been the accepted wisdom that when things get a bit fuzzy,
when you have trouble seeing the blackboard or road signs, or when you
have to sit in the front row in movie theatres to be able to see the
screen, that you go see a licensed optometrist to have your eyes
checked. If your eye doctor is like most other eye doctors, he or she
will recommend that you get glasses. If you’re already
wearing
glasses, you will be prescribed glasses with a stronger prescription.
So
you get your new glasses, and everything is much clearer…for
the
time being. But in a few years or so, things start getting fuzzy again.
So you go back to the eye doctor, and he or she gives you a
prescription for an even stronger pair of glasses.
And
so the endless cycle goes for most people who have vision problems. But
why is it that our eyes seem to be the only part of our body that
cannot heal itself? Every other part of the body, when given the right
conditions, will at least partially heal itself. When you cut yourself,
you expect to automatically stop bleeding after a short while, and for
the skin to grow back together, leaving no sign in most cases that
there ever was an injury there. If you break your leg, assuming
it’s set properly you expect the bone to graft together and
be as
good as new. Is there something unique about the eyes that exempts them
from this otherwise-universal healing process?
Prescriptive
lenses are a crutch…a useful crutch at times. But contrary
to
decades of conventional wisdom, you don’t have to use these
crutches for the rest of your life, anymore than you’d expect
to
wear a cast and use crutches for the rest of your life if you broke a
leg.
But
if you tried to tell most people – especially eye care
professionals – that poor eyesight could be improved, and the
continual deterioration in eye functioning that most of us accept as
normal was not inevitable after all, they would look at you like you
were crazy.
